Yoga: More Than Just Physical Exercise

Behaviorally, yoga redirects energy that might otherwise be wasted or unwisely used in behaviors that may be harmful to one's health or harmful to others. Yoga promotes balance and harmony with others as well as peace of mind.

Spiritually, yoga helps us to live for something larger than just ourselves and our immediate family. It helps us to bring everything that we do in life in harmony with the Supreme. The word "yoga" actually means "union"—union between the individual being and the Supreme Being.
